Music and flag waving herald the beginning and mark the end of the assemblies. Three candles are lit in at the beginning of assemblies to remember God the Father, Jesus the light of the world and the Holy Spirit who helps us and guides us. Songs are often accompanied by actions, dances or streamer dances.

Wows, Ows and Nows

In our school prayer, we ask Jesus to shine into our lives and into our school. We can experience the light of Jesus when gaps in the ordinary and everyday occur during the Wows, Ows and Nows of life.

WOWS

These are the awe and wonder moments. The times when we want to breathe in and capture the feeling and hold on to it for as long as we can.

OWS

These are the things that can go wrong and threaten the comfort of everyday life. They can knock the breath out of us.

NOWS

These are the everyday ordinary times: being able to be present in the moment, thinking of what we have now and how lucky we are to be here. They may result in prayers of thanks to God.
