Miriam Mason-Sesay, from Sierra Leone, visited St Michael's School on Wednesday 7th October. She told our children all about the 9 free schools that she runs, what effect the Ebola virus has had on her pupils and their families. As well as telling us all about how we can help her charity. We are hoping that at St Michael's we can work together and form links with one of Miriam's free schools in Sierra Leone.

How can we at St Michael's help?

There are two ways in which we can help. The first is to donate:-

  • 2nd hand clothes and shoes; flip flops, crocs etc. Age 3 - Adult.
  • Girls/boys pants.
  • Books - non-Eurocentric eg. fantasy/factual (not cars, TV etc)
  • Old laptops (2010+ software)
  • Blank DVDs/CDs
  • Reference Books - Children's encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauruses
  • Sharable hardwearing toys eg balls (deflated)

Please can all donations be taken to the Family Link room before the 13th November.

Read on for other ways that you could help this fantastic charity.

Thank you.

Carolyne Beckett, a parent at our school, has asked us if we could sponsor her via https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/carolynebeckettFundraiser image

Or you can donate by going to http://www.educaid.org.uk/support-us/donate/

All of the money goes straight to the children, no admin, n corruption.

THANK YOU SO MUCH
